Vy Wien Lai Its Beginning To Look A Lot Like Gutmas 1st place finalised 1261 x 1261 It's beginning to look a lot like Gutmas - by Vy Wien Lai. Vy Wien Lai is the 1st place winner of our 2025 Festive Science Image Competition.

'It's beginning to look a lot like Gutmasis the winning image from our 2025 Festive Science Image Competition, run in partnership with the Medical Research Council (MRC). The image features on our joint Season's Greetings card which is available to order below with a suggested donation to the Foundation.

The image, created by by Vy Wien Lai, DPhil student at the University of Oxford, shows cross-sectional slices through the intestines, designed as baubles which together form a festive tree.

Season's Greetings cards now closed for orders

We're no longer taking orders for our 2025 Season's Greetings cards. The deadline for ordering the cards and our postal deadline for sending these out has now passed.

We'd still love your support – donations to the Medical Research Foundation are gratefully received at any time.

We hope to have cards available again next year.
