Share your story

Share your real-life story and help raise awareness, inspire action, and drive forward life-changing research.

Your real-life stories help to raise awareness of the conditions we fund research into, and the crucial need for this research to continue.

If you have a story to tell, we’d love to hear from you.

How sharing your story helps support medical research

Every personal experience has the power to inspire change.

Real-life stories help people understand what we do and why we do it. Not only do they help raise awareness of medical conditions we fund research into and the effects they have on lives, they inspire people to raise funds for us. Your experience can also give hope to others facing similar challenges and demonstrate the vital impact of medical research.

What could my story cover?

Each story is unique, but you might consider discussing a condition that you’re living with or that of a loved one, including friends or family. You could reflect on the impact this has had on your life. You may also share more about any treatment, and if applicable, the impact that medical research has had upon that journey. We're really wanting those who have experience of medical conditions we fund research into, including:

  • Mental health conditions, including eating disorders and self-harm
  • Pain and chronic pain
  • Hepatitis
  • Respiratory diseases
  • Adolescent skin disorders
  • Lupus
  • Hearing loss
  • Young stroke

It can be very rewarding to share your story in this way, but we understand it can also be difficult and sometimes emotional. Your story is personal and should cover what you are comfortable sharing.

How might we use your story?

We’d like to work with you to share your experiences on our channels and through the work we do. This could include our website, social media, fundraising materials, publications, and in other places you’d be happy with.

Ultimately, we want to share your experiences in a way that suits you. We'd never use any part of your story without checking with you first.
