Facilities and Operations Manager

London | £45,000 | full-time | 12-month FTC

At the Medical Research Foundation, we believe in the transformative power of medical research. As an independent charitable foundation, we fund exceptional research into underfunded and emerging areas of health, areas where we can make the biggest impact. As we roll out an ambitious strategy to 2029, we are seeking a Facilities and Operations Manager to ensure our operations are efficient, effective and environmentally sustainable.

About the role

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead on health and safety, manage relationships with external providers and oversee the day-to-day management of the office environment
  • Oversee the relationship with our IT service provider and resolve common IT issues.
  • Manage cross-organisational projects on data management
  • Identify and deliver business-wide operations efficiencies and improvements.
  • Manage two members of staff.

About you

To succeed in this role you will:

  • Have significant knowledge and experience of office/facilities management positions.
  • Have a track record of training and managing people
  • Be comfortable with building effective working relationships with contractors.
  • Be IOSH (Managing Safely) qualified with a sound understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Be able to identify and implement business improvements
  • Be comfortable with taking ownership of your work priorities while supporting others to deliver theirs.
