Rebecca has broad experience in research operations, governance, funding and strategy, having held positions at Wellcome, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, University of Cambridge and, most recently, in the Strategy function at the MRC. She has a BSc and PhD in Chemistry from the University of Manchester and carried out postdoctoral research on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Motor Neurone Disease) at the Montreal Neurological Institute, McGill University in Canada.
In her spare time, Rebecca likes keeping fit and dressmaking and hopes, one day, to finish renovating her house.
