Alice holds a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Trieste, followed by a PhD from the University of Birmingham, which focused on the synthesis of receptors for carbohydrates related to cancer. She continued her research career at the University of Oxford, working at the Oxford Drug Discovery Institute as a medicinal chemist to develop new treatments for Alzheimer’s disease. She then transitioned to the charity sector, joining Breast Cancer UK as a Scientific Research Officer, where she developed educational resources on breast cancer prevention and supported the charity’s funding calls.
In her spare time, Alice enjoys attending gigs and art exhibitions, as well as cooking, reading, and knitting.
