Professor Moira Whyte OBE, FRSE, FMed Sci is the Sir John Crofton Professor of Respiratory Medicine at the University of Edinburgh and from 2018-2023 the Head of the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine.
Nominated to the Foundation’s Board by the Medical
Research Council (MRC), she is a member of the MRC’s Strategy Board, chairs the
MRC’s Training and Careers Group and has chaired a number of scientific
advisory and grant awarding committees for a range of medical charities.
Moira was awarded an OBE in the 2014 New Year’s
Honours list for services to respiratory medicine.
