We need your help to make a difference to the future of human health. When you make a donation to us, 100% of your donation will be directly invested in medical research.
Leave a gift in your Will
Leaving a gift to the Medical Research Foundation in your Will could help transform peoples' health for decades to come.
Any amount, small or large, helps make long-term pioneering medical research possible.
Ways you can give
You can leave a gift for medical research general purposes which give us the flexibility to ensure that your legacy is used to support the best research as it arises, and to respond to emerging research opportunities and health problems.
Or, if you prefer, you can specify an area of medical research that you would like your gift to support and the trustees will do everything they can to apply your legacy as you wish.
Leaving a gift to charity in your Will is a fantastic way for you to make a difference in the future without costing you anything now. Gifts left to a charity in a Will are also exempt from inheritance tax.

How to do it
The most common types of gifts left in Wills are:
A residuary gift. The residue (or percentage of the residue) of your estate after you have looked after your loved ones and all other gifts, debts and expenses have been paid.
A pecuniary gift. A fixed sum of money.
A conditional gift. A gift that you would make if the person you first intended to benefit through your Will passed away.
A specific gift. An identifiable asset such as a property, an investment, a piece of jewellery or art.
A professionally drafted Will makes sure that the people and causes that matter to you will be looked after. We recommend that you consult a professional such as a solicitor.
If you have any questions about the kind of gift you’d like to leave in your Will, please contact us or speak to your solicitor.
We understand that writing a Will and making these decisions are private and personal, and you do not have to notify us in any way unless you would like to.
