David James

Governance Manager

David James joined the Foundation as Governance Manager in December 2020 to manage and provide governance support to the Board of Trustees, our committees and our connected charity.

David has a degree in Social Science, a PGCE in Post 16 Education, and an MA in Social Policy and Administration. After 17 years of teaching in Further and Higher Education David joined the NHS regulator the Commission for Health Improvement as a Review Manager and then became Board Secretary at Ealing Hospital in 2007. In 2016, David went freelance and has worked in acute trusts, mental health trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups and NHS England on a contractual basis.

David is an avid fan of Leicester City FC and is a trustee of the Keele Postgraduate Association (KPA). He also volunteers with one of the larger food banks based in Oxford.
