The Medical Research Foundation is governed by a Board of eight Trustees who, for the purposes of the Companies Act 1985, act as Directors of the charity.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for setting the charity’s strategic direction, providing effective governance, the general management of the administration of the charity and for taking decisions on individual applications for funding. The Board meets at least four times each year and our trustees participate in other events through out the year and serve on various committees ensuring good governance of all of the charity’s activities.
We are indebted to our Trustees for the experience and dedication they bring to this voluntary role.
Our Director assists the Board and has overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Medical Research Foundation and implementation of its policies.
