The Medical Research Foundation is a unique charity.
We use the funds given to us by the generous public to award medical research grants (for people, running costs, equipment, skill-sharing and collaborations, and the dissemination of research results), fellowships and studentships, and provide accommodation to support researchers.
Many medical research charities do this.
What makes us unique is that all we do is support research. We do not fund advocacy, campaigning, support services or advisory services; just more research for human health.
We receive no government funding, but rely on the generosity and commitment of our current and past supporters to continue funding world class research.
